Volunteer Participation, Assumption of Risk, and Liability Waiver

Volunteer Agreement

I voluntarily agree to participate in activities organized, sponsored, or conducted by Twofold Worldview, a New Mexico nonprofit corporation ("Organization").

I understand that volunteer activities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Community events

  • Educational programs

  • Film and media productions

  • Cultural preservation projects

  • Music and arts activities

  • Wellness initiatives

  • Outdoor activities

  • Travel to project sites

  • Setup and breakdown of equipment

  • Community engagement and service projects

Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in volunteer activities may involve risks, including but not limited to:

  • Personal injury

  • Property damage

  • Travel-related incidents

  • Exposure to weather conditions

  • Physical exertion

  • Interaction with equipment, tools, vehicles, or production gear

I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation, whether known or unknown.

I certify that I am physically capable of participating in the activities for which I volunteer.

Release and Waiver of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless:

Twofold Worldview, its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, partners, sponsors, and representatives from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to my participation in volunteer activities.

This release includes claims arising from:

  • Personal injury

  • Illness

  • Death

  • Property damage

  • Property loss

  • Economic loss

except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence as prohibited by law.

Property Damage and Personal Equipment

I understand that I am responsible for my own personal property and equipment.

Twofold Worldview shall not be responsible for any loss, theft, damage, or destruction of personal property including but not limited to:

  • Cameras

  • Phones

  • Computers

  • Musical instruments

  • Clothing

  • Vehicles

  • Bicycles

  • Recording equipment

  • Personal tools

I voluntarily assume responsibility for any damage to my own property that may occur during volunteer activities.

Medical Authorization

In the event of an emergency, I authorize Twofold Worldview to seek emergency medical treatment on my behalf if I am unable to provide consent.

I understand that I am responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

Photo, Video, and Media Release

I grant permission to Twofold Worldview to photograph, record, and use my likeness, voice, image, and participation in any media format for educational, promotional, documentary, archival, or nonprofit purposes without compensation.

I understand that such materials may be used in:

  • Films

  • Documentaries

  • Social media

  • Educational materials

  • Websites

  • Publications

  • Public presentations

Code of Conduct

I agree to:

  • Conduct myself respectfully and professionally.

  • Follow safety instructions provided by project leaders.

  • Respect community members, cultural traditions, and project participants.

  • Avoid behavior that may endanger myself or others.

I understand that failure to comply may result in removal from volunteer activities.

Acknowledgment

I have carefully read this Volunteer Participation, Assumption of Risk, and Liability Waiver.

I understand its contents and sign it voluntarily.

I understand that by signing this document I may be giving up certain legal rights.
